Began his career in 1975 at Banque Vaudoise de Crédit, Lausanne, as a specialist credit, and in 1980 in the wealth management department. Joined UBS in 1984, in Morges, as finance manager, then as head of Pully branch and finally, in Lausanne, in the Private Banking department as a specialist. Joined DP Finance et Gestion SA in 1998. Hold a degree in banking economics.
